Dóra DÁVID MEP
At the initiative of Dóra Dávid MEP and Jörgen Warborn MEP, President of SME Europe, this event will mark the first business-focused discussion in Brussels dedicated to Hungary’s new economic chapter after the 2026 Hungarian parliamentary elections. The event will feature a keynote speech by Ágnes Fábián, Hungarian State Secretary for Economic Development at the Ministry of Economy and Energy.
Following the formation of the new government, the event will offer an early opportunity to present a renewed vision for Hungary’s role in Europe: one built on stronger cooperation with the European Union, restored investor confidence, and a more predictable, transparent, and competitive business environment.
The discussion will combine a political perspective on Hungary’s new European course with practical insights from the business community. By bringing these perspectives together, the event will connect the political signal of a new chapter with the concrete needs of companies operating in the European market, including access to networks, reliable investment conditions, regulatory predictability, innovation capacity, and stronger participation in EU-level economic debates.
The event aims to send a clear political and economic message: Hungary’s new chapter is not only about domestic change, but also about defining a renewed place within the European Union, with SMEs, investment, and the Single Market at the centre of its future.
