SME Europe Board Meeting, 16 July 2025

On 16 July 2025, SME Europe held a Board Meeting, chaired by President Jörgen Warborn, in the SME Europe Office in Brussels.

President Warborn emphasized the need for greater member participation, restructuring the membership fee system, and strengthening SME Europe’s strategic role within the EPP.

Sari Rautio, President of the EPP‑CoR Group, highlighted the importance of collaboration with local and regional authorities and invited members to the next EPP‑CoR meeting.

The Board reviewed the SME Strategy and proposed new Working Groups, with chairs appointed or to be confirmed. Discussions also covered the upcoming SME Award, Women Entrepreneurship Day, and a new three-tier membership system.

Other matters included examples of regulatory reform from Poland and the UAE, and the importance of cooperation between large enterprises and SMEs was emphasized as a key future policy focus.
